Application

Single- and three-phase inrush current damping unit. Designed for 35mm Din-rail mounting. The inrush current damping unit reduces the inrush current to a certain desired value. The unit is installed on the primary side of the transformer to protect against overload and fuse-blow in the circuit. The inrush current damping units are available as standard build-in units on the transformers, or as add-on accessories. KVST/M-16 is designed for "module"-fit. Typical applications: Transformers, and especially toroidal transformers, operate with high inrush currents at switching. Existing installations can be fully utilized by installing an inrush current damping unit on the transformers primary side.
