How long have you worked for Noratel?

I have been working with Noratel for 3 years.

Why did you choose to work for Noratel?

While I was doing final Examination in the university, I learned about Noratel and with the aim of applying, I researched the company extensively. Noratel Sri Lanka is one of the largest transformer manufacturing plants in the country with top-notch talented design engineers. Noratel is giving me a great platform to move and work with worldwide professionals, as well as customers. So, it was an easy decision for me to accept the job offer from Noratel.

What are your responsibilities at Noratel?

As a design engineer my main scope is to attend all customer inquiries, design the transformers & Inductors, product analysis, conducting product testing, provide technical solutions and assistance for the customers.  I keep in touch with prototype activities in order to make sure all customer requirements are met with the required standard.

Why do you enjoy working at Noratel in Sri Lanka?

I enjoy working for Noratel Sri Lanka because everyone shares the same vision and are dedicated to fulfill tasks as expected.  Likewise, engineering colleagues and the management care about me as a person and my professional growth. This truly creates a family inside the company where everybody is there for each other. There is a genuine spirit of cooperation and shared goals all revolving around helping the customers.

What motivates you at work?

I love having a voice. My team listens to my ideas and through creative feedbacks we as a team make them a reality. Apart from that, all my hard work and dedication is getting rewarded. So I am motivated and love to work at Noratel Sri Lanka.

How can you as a professional develop at Noratel?

As I mentioned earlier, working with my seniors and global professionals helps me to develop my Engineering and professional skills. I am always open to innovative ideas and additional responsibilities which Noratel provides me. Likewise, the company conducts training sessions and webinars to develop professional skills.

Any great/fun social/sports activities organised with Noratel team that you would like to mention?

Noratel hold annual sports festival called “Sports Sunday” with the participation of the workforce and management of the company. I was lucky to be a member of the organising committee in Sports Sunday in the year 2019. All the members participated in this with a lot of spirit and colours. It was an unforgettable experience for me!

Noratel also hosts a lot of other fun-related activities and charity events. This definitly helps to develop a good relationship among the employees.
